Camping Policy

You will be responsible for your pro-rata share of all non-refundable costs incurred by the Troop, when a Scout has signed up for a trip or an event, subsequently cancels, for whatever reason.  All parents will be advised of trips in time for them to approve their son's sign-up, to be aware of the financial commitments involved and the drop-dead dates.  Each patrol will appoint a Grub Master who will purchase food for the patrol.  Each scout will reimburse the Grub Master for his share of the cost (usually around $10.00).

Each driver to a campout carrying scouts will fill his vehicle just before picking up scouts.  Upon return from campout the driver is to top off his fuel tank and submit that receipt for fuel used on the only on the campout trip to the treasurer for reimbursement.  If receipt is not submitted within 2 weeks, it is assumed the driver donated his fuel cost the Scouts and troop.  Treasurer will tally receipts received and divide by number of riders and charge their Scout Account for transportation expenses.
Each Scout will follow the Outdoor Code as well as the Scout Oath.  Scouts will be given a warning regarding any misbehavior that could be life threatening or if the Scout is constantly approached by a leader or other adult present will result in a Behavioral Board of Review.  The Behavioral Board of Review  will consist of the Scout, Parent(s) of the Scout, Scoutmaster, Committee Chairman and Committee Member.  Misbehavior can lead to the Scout having a parent present at all times or suspension of camping or other scout activities.
Each scout required to provide a Permission Slip signed by Scout and Parent before departing.

New patrols will have an adult leader for camp outs for the first 6-9 months.  A leader cannot be a parent of his scout in the patrol.

All scouts will leave and return at the same time regardless if an adult leader/parent goes up earlier.

All assignments for camp outs are assigned to the leaders two Tuesdays prior to the camp out. This will be the last day to sign up.

All medical forms will be verified and prescriptions/medicines to be given must adhere to the Medication Policy.
