Scout Fair

Sam Houston Area Council (SHAC) hosts this event once a year, in the spring. This year, it is on Saturday, April 16, 2011, from 11:AM - 4:PM. It's held at Reliant Arena. Admission is free (parking $10).

The Fundraiser

Coupon books are available for scouts to sell for $10.00 each. Each coupon pack has many coupons (about $400.00 in value!) to everyday places like Krogers, McDonalds, Lubys, Jiffy Lube, and many more. The scout keeps 30% of all sales (40% when we participate in Scout Fair, which we normally do). Contact Wanda Wright for more details.

The Event

Scouts from 16 counties will unite in one place to showcase their Scouting skills.

• Meet leaders and Scouts from your neighborhood and all over the Council area
• Sample the amazing dutch oven creations and other delicacies
• Visit the midway with over 60 experts representing merit badges
• Watch demonstrations
• Interact with participating booths
