- Camp Signup Sheets: Camp out signup sheets are online. If you are not on the list and want to be, or if you are on the list and don't want to be, email Bianca Hartsfield. Click on the name of the outdoor activity (listed below the announcements) to see the roster.
- Scout Fair Coupon Books: April 14 is the final day to sell. Do your best!
- Remember safe selling practices: don't sell after dark without an adult, use the buddy system, etc.
- Checks can be made out to Troop 925.
- The boys would also benefit from having tens to give as change because a lot of people pay will 20s.
- Please turn in money for complete 15-packs
- Any 15-packs sold before the end of February will count a little more towards the scout’s personal scout account!
- There are more organized, coordinated sales days planned. Stay tuned for more info!
- Email Wanda Wright for any additional questions.
- Religious Awards: Here are the dates for the upcoming meetings to get started.
- Protestant – Feb 16th at 7PM – St. Peters United Methodist Church
- Catholic (both Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII) – April 26 at 7PM – Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church
- If your son wants to become the Chaplain’s Aid, he should attend the training on April 7th at the Deren-Huff Scout House at St. Peter's UMC on Kingsland across from Taylor HS from 9 to 11:30. He should also have earned or be in the process of earning his religious award (http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/Media/Relationships/ChaplainRole.aspx).
- If you want any help in locating someone to help your son with their religious award, please let Mr. Dante or Scott Wilson know so we can help you find a counselor to help him.
- Photo Gallery on the Website: Please check out the photo page, and see what’s new. Bianca has created a couple of video slideshows on youtube that we have linked to, and there are three other photo albums from summer camp and leadership training last year.
- You can click on any of these links to open the slideshows/photos. The three photo albums across the bottom will require a password. I am not placing this on the website, for privacy purposes. I will give it here, via email. It is “925troop” (without the quotes). You should only have to enter this on your computer one time. It will remember you the next time you click to view.
- We will continue to add more photos in the coming weeks and months.
- Merit Badge Counselor Opportunities: One of our goals as a troop is to have at least two merit badge counselors for every eagle required merit badge. Due to the number of scouts aging out over the last couple of years we have lost several active adults leaving us without counselors for several eagle required badges. Below is a list of merit badges where we could use additional counselors.
- Being a merit badge counselor is a great way to get involved and get to know the scouts. As a counselor you will have the flexibility to schedule your meetings with the scouts around your schedule.
- Following is a link with information about being a counselor. If you have additional questions please contact Joe Dante or Tim Reed.

- Philmont: We have another Philmont Crew for July 16, 2012. Need to know very soon if you and/or your son wants to go.
- Leadership Credit: If you were a leader last time, to get credit for your time of service, you owe David your leadership report. This should be short, perhaps one paragraph, on what you did for the 6 months you were a leader. No report, no leadership credit.
- Troop Positions: Click here for details!
- Uniform Recycling/Hand me downs: Bring old uniform parts (shorts, shirts, etc.)
- Partial Merit Badges: To complete one, and if you need a blue card, see Mr. Smith or Mrs. Scherer.
- Publicity Photos needed: If you have any recent photos of the troop’s activities, please send them to Mrs. Hebert so that she can share with the community what Troop 925 is up to.
- Mr. Dante: I will be at the YMCA day camp every Tuesday between 6:30 and 6:45 for scout work. Please do NOT arrive at the camp and drop off your son before I get there. The day camp officially ends at 6:30 and we cannot be there when there are campers there. YMCA rules.
